IU Donates 200 Million Won in 2024 for Four Prestigious Organizations!
IU began the new year by spreading warmth through an extraordinary gesture of compassion.
On January 1, IU contributed 200 million won to help with heating costs as IU-Aena (a merger of her name and her passionate fan group U-Aena). The donation was divided among four prestigious organizations: the Senior Welfare Center Association, the Korea Children’s Welfare Association, the Korea Unwed Mothers Association, and the Korea Welfare Facility Association for the Disabled.
The goal was to lessen the severe cold and make winter more bearable for individuals in vulnerable situations.
“With the arrival of the new year, while every single day may not overflow with happiness throughout the 365 days, my wish is for a year filled with more joyous moments than sorrowful ones,” she shared through her agency. I really wish everyone health and happiness. Everyone should have a Happy New Year!”
